Guest Post by Becca Chopra – Dynamind Healing Technique

September 20, 2012

I enjoy sharing all sorts of chakra-based techniques at this site, and today I have a guest post from Hawaii-based meditation instructor and chakra healer Becca Chopra, of TheChakras.org. I have read and enjoyed both of Becca’s books on the chakras – Chakra Diaries, and her latest, Chakra Secrets, from which this excerpt is taken. Becca shares her own personal story in Chakra Secrets, including her explorations of kundalini, tantric sex, macrobiotics, past-life regression and other mind-body tools as she earns her credentials as an energy healer and finally finds love and light. In this excerpt she shares one of the chakra tools that has helped her the most, Dynamind, an “instant” healing process you can use anytime, anywhere.

Enjoy, and then head over to Amazon right away, as Chakra Secrets is available free for the Kindle there this Thursday and Friday, September 20th and 21st!!

———————————————————————————–

During a Hawaii Health Getaway, I learned how to use a simple, yet profound energy healing tool, Dynamind, for “instant healing” of pain and disease and the underlying stress causing them.

Dynamind is a technique that reminded me of the Energy Freedom Technique (EFT) and it has similarities to it, according to its developer, Dr. Serge Kahili King, a Hawaiian shaman. He said, “In Huna, we try to make things as simple as possible, as effective as possible, so we’ve combined the power of words, breath, movement and feeling into one mind-body healing technique.”

So, I found myself repeating my personal problem, “I feel guilt tightening my chest, and that can change. I want that feeling to go away,” as I held my hands in a prayer position.

Then I tapped just four spots, the heart center, the web between the thumb and first finger of each hand, and the knob at the back of my neck where it meets the shoulders. I finished with a deep breath, inhaling with attention at the top of my head and exhaling with attention at the bottom of my feet. The Dynamind Process doused the flames of guilt that had plagued me all my life and I felt freer and lighter than ever before.

I learned that you could work on the physical sensations you were experiencing and watch them change as Dynamind directed your subconscious to follow a new pattern… in an instant.

Dynamind can be used to heal a wide range of physical dis-ease. Dr. King advises asking yourself what emotion is a problem, where you feel that emotion in the body, and then work on changing that physical sensation to let the healing energy of the body once again flow freely. All emotion manifests within the body with some physical “feeling.” Just as chakra imbalances can manifest in uncomfortable physical and emotional problems.

HOW TO USE THE DYNAMIND PROCESS:

1) FOCUS: Hold your hands in a loose prayer position.

2) DECLARE: Make a statement that acknowledges the problem, creates a positive expectation, and expresses the outcome you want, e.g.,

“I feel guilt tightening my chest, and that can change. I want that feeling to go away.”

 3) RELEASE:  Tap four spots – the heart center, the web between the thumb and first finger of each hand, and the knob at the back of the neck where it meets the shoulders.

4) BREATHE: Finish with a deep breath, inhaling with your attention at the top of your head and exhaling with your attention at the bottom of your feet.

If you finish the process and still feel a problem, repeat the exercise until you feel a release. It can help to add in a symbol. In my example, of tightening in my chest, I imagined a fist squeezing my heart and then visualized the fist opening and love flowing in before I tapped.

Dynamind can be used to balance the seven chakras, working on the physical and emotional problems often associated with each energy center. Spend a few minutes each morning checking in with your body, with your feelings, and use Dynamind to release tension and flow easily through your day.

To learn more, check out Chakra Secrets, my personal story to health and happiness, but also a self-help book, filled with the secrets to chakra balancing. It’s available free for the Kindle this Thursday and Friday, September 20th and 21st!

Love and Light,

Becca

I do enjoy healing techniques that empower people and give them practical and simple how-tos.

I do admit to being a little sceptical of such ‘instant’ healing. Not that it wouldn’t work, but rather that it might work for certain people only (perhaps those with alternative, spiritual, psychological healing experience) and that leaves others feeling inadequate when it doesn’t ‘work’ for them.

I’m going to give this one a try. And how cool that it’s free on kindle. I’ll FB you.

Hi Julie, yes the book is interesting because it is told as a memoir – it’s quite juicy actually:-)

Monica – I feel the same, I think it is a blending of technique and a person’s subtle awareness that makes something effective, so someone needs to be at a place where they can really access the emotion/energy they are trying to release with their awareness. And for most of us, that takes some prior work or experience. And of course we can release something in the moment and then grab it right back later on, if it is part of a larger emotional pattern or conditioning that we have. So for it to really be a instant, permanent release for someone usually means they were right on the brink, really on the edge of wanting to change, wanting to let go of something- ripe, so to speak. And in that situation, when we are ripe for change, almost any modality might work for us, it is often a matter of timing. This is why I’m usually reluctant to market anything as ‘the best technique’ or anything like that, because I just haven’t seen that to be true. Something is usually right for a particular person at a particular time in their life.

Many people would disagree with me on this, though! But that’s my honest thinking on it…
