Gone Meditatin’

April 21, 2010

Lotus Reflection

Lotus Reflection

I’ve been wanting to use that phrase ‘gone meditatin’, and this picture (see the shadow figure meditating in the water?) here forever! And I finally have an excuse, as I’m going to take a couple of weeks off to get caught up elsewhere, and restore some mandala-like balance to my life. You might ask ‘isn’t that what you’ve been doing?’, because I have been a bit inconsistent here so far this year. I started the year with big plans, but had to slow them down a bit – we can only do so much, and keep our priorities straight. That’s part of being a ‘Mommy Mystic’ – or a ‘Mommy’ anything else, for that matter.

But first, the tables were turned on me recently when Benjamin Dean of Meditation How invited me to participate in his interview series. Benjamin interviews meditation teachers and practitioners from all different traditions through email, one question at  time, so each interview is different, and proceeds according to the prior answer. We did ours over the course of a week or so, beginning with questions related to chakra meditation, and moving into larger questions about the nature and challenges of the spiritual process. That interview is available here, and even if you are not interested in hearing more from me, I encourage you to check out some of the other interviews anyway.

I’ll be back in a couple of weeks, and continue exploring some of the metaphysical themes I’ve been covering lately, including finally doing that post on mystic symbology that I promised awhile back, and a new series on the chakras. In the meantime, consider checking out some older posts, through the category dropdown in the sidebar, or the menu on the top.

Until then, Namaste-

Hi Lisa, As you go (not sure when you started your break), I wanted you to know I have been reading and inspired. I hope to keep this flame of peace alive and continue to search for my own truth. For now I just hope to be a better mama! A million thanks for your inspiration.

    Claire

I love to hear from you...
