Focal Point: Forehead, a little above midpoint between eyebrows

Color: Lavender, purple; for meditative purposes white is often used

Element: Light

Life Aspects/Themes: Associated with intuition, insight, wisdom, dreaming, and metaphysical experience.

Physical/Health Correlations:

Body Systems/Organs: Eyes, frontal lobe of brain

Gland(s): Pituitary

Foods: Purple-red berries and grapes, caffeine, chocolate, spices, alcohol (particularly red wine)

Strengthening Activities: Visual creative expression; dreaming/daydreaming; meditation; contemplation

Yoga Asanas: Inversions, meditations

Mantra: Om (pronounced ‘Aum’)

Sixth or Third Eye Yantra

Yantra:  Upside down triangle; 2 petals

    I seen two upside down triangles that were yellow. what doe sthat mean?

    Heather – do you mean you saw them in meditation? Or in a dream or vision or something like that? I wasn’t sure if you meant as a symbol somewhere ‘out in the world’ or in your mind’s eye. As a symbol, an upside down yellow triangle is associated with the third chakra – the navel or solar plexus chakra. This chakra is related to our personal power, among other things.
